Description
Ford sigue en activo en el WRC como fabricante oficial, pero ya había hecho historia con su Ford Escort RS1800. Con un motor Cosworth de 270 caballos, ayudó a la casa de Detroit a ganar su primer título de fabricantes en 1979. Dos años después, Ari Vatanen ganó el campeonato de pilotos con el Escort RS1800.
